We met in June 2005 working as horseback riding instructors at Camp Treetops in Lake Placid, NY. How we ended up in Sweden . . . We lived in Amherst, MA for a time, and then moved to Stockholm, Sweden, in February, 2006, so that Caroline could complete her teaching degree. Christopher just completed his MBA at the Stockholm School of Economics. We're in Stockholm for now . . . We have now settled in downtown Stockholm with our new dog "Sam". Caroline now teaches Swedish and English at a suburban school. She spends her evenings taking classes in riding, yoga, and cooking. Christopher has been consulting at various Internet start-up companies in Stockholm, and will focus full-time exclusively on one soon. Sweden or USA . . . ? We'd be happy to live in the US or in Sweden, but we expect to stay in Sweden; with 6 weeks of vacation, 15 months of paid maternity leave, as well as childcare, college, and health care funded by the state, Sweden is a not a bad place to raise a family. |
